Zatik Fashion Studio
Member of Armenian Fashion Council
Zatik Armenian-French fashion studio was founded in 1997.
During the starting period the studio was working on individual orders of women cloething.
In 2002 zatik Studio chose its own style and started to work using Armenian natural silk and cotton. Some styles from Zatik collections are made in one sample using mostly hand painting on cloth (batik), ambroidery and linoleum engraving.
Today there are 40 people working in Zatik: painters, artist-designers, tailors. All materials Zatik uses are natural textiles: cotton, wool, linen, silk. The design of those pieces is always enriched with handwork: binding, beads or painting inspired by Middle age Armenian art miniature, embroidery and textures of Armenian tapestry and antique carpets.
In November 2006 Zatik Studio participated in Pret-a-Porter Yerevan fashion shows event and presented its fall-winter 2006-2007 collection.
